Two PhD Positions (3 years, fully funded) on the topic of Synthesis and Application of Conjugated Polymers with Interchain Aromaticity are available in our lab.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Yoshimitsu Itoh (University of Tokyo) for a visit from 9 to 11 July. After learning about the support offered by the Japan Austria Science Exchange Center (JASEC) for exchange between TU Wien and the University of Tokyo, Prof. Itoh gave an exciting seminar on the topic of Interfacial Molecular Engineering for Functional Materials.

Florian has represented Austria on behalf of the Austrian Chemical Society at this year's edition of the EuChemS Organic Chemistry Young Investigator Workshop from 10 to 11 July in Brussels, Belgium. The workshop was an exciting opportunity to connect with the participants nominated by their European national societies as well as with participants from the US, Canada and Japan. We are pleased to welcome Yoan Hristov to our lab! Yoan is a Master student at TU Wien and is joining us for a research internship. He will be working on mechanochemical reactions with Lisa.

We are very happy to welcome Miriam Schagerl to our lab! Miriam is joining us for her Bachelor thesis project. She will be synthesizing some super exciting conjugated macrocycles.
