Simon and Florian attended the 16th International Symposium on Functional π-Electron Systems (Fπ16) in Jeju (South Korea). Simon gave a talk on macrocycle-based battery electrode materials, Florian presented our work on macrocycle-based conjugated co-polymers. Before the conference, Florian visited Prof. Hyejeong Seong at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Prof. Jang Wook Choi at Seoul National University (SNU), and Prof. Hocheon Yoo at Hanyang University.

As a member of the Young Investigators Academy Board, Florian co-organized this year's Science Days of the Faculty of Technical Chemistry together with Esther Heid, Georg Ramer and Johannes Bintinger.

Florian attended the 19th International Symposium on Macrocyclic and Supramolecular Chemistry (ISMSC) in Kyoto (Japan), where he gave a talk on conjugated polymers that are soluble without side chains, thanks to the use of macrocyclic comonomers.

In our latest preprint, we present a novel approach for achieving solubility of conjugated polymers: incorporating conjugated macrocycles.

In a study led by Qiao He and Martin Heeney, we have studied a non-Y series acceptor material with outer side chains.
