Florian attended the Photoexciting Molecules conference at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) in Klosterneuburg near Vienna. The conference provided a fantastic opportunity to hear about molecular photoswitches and photochemical synthesis from an impressive line-up of speakers. It was also a great occasion to meet our new chemistry neighbours in Klosterneuburg.

We're delighted to welcome Joseph Förner to our lab! Joseph is joining us for his Bachelor thesis project, for which he will he will synthesize some excting new macrocycles.

We're excited to welcome Leon Figl and James Turner to our lab! Leon is joining us for his Bachelor thesis project and James is visiting us from Felix Plasser's group at Loughborough University.

Simon and Florian attended the 16th International Symposium on Functional π-Electron Systems (Fπ16) in Jeju (South Korea). Simon gave a talk on macrocycle-based battery electrode materials, Florian presented our work on macrocycle-based conjugated co-polymers. Before the conference, Florian visited Prof. Hyejeong Seong at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Prof. Jang Wook Choi at Seoul National University (SNU), and Prof. Hocheon Yoo at Hanyang University.

As a member of the Young Investigators Academy Board, Florian co-organized this year's Science Days of the Faculty of Technical Chemistry together with Esther Heid, Georg Ramer and Johannes Bintinger.
